August 2nd 2008 As celebrities like Amy Winehouse and David Beckham show off their body art, the popularity of the once-maligned tattoo increases.The social stigma of tattoos is fast disappearing.
Tattoo artists have travelled to North Wales this weekend to take part in a brand new event. The Tattoo Jam 2008 has taken over Venue Cymru, Llandudno, hosting 125 tattoo artists from all corners of the globe - from Australia, Japan, the USA and even Borneo. At this international phenomenon exhibitors will be tattooing exciting new designs onto people during the event.
Organiser Neil Dalleywater, Editor of Skin Deep magazine, said: “Tattooing is riding on a high at the moment and the quality of work these days is outstanding"
"It's not just for people with tattoos, It's for anyone with an interest in body modification. If you are thinking about getting a tattoo you should certainly come along to the show and see the world's best at work... (The artists) are happy to talk to people, very friendly and are the nicest people in the world."
